Mt Holly Dentistry has been my dentist for the last 25 years. Their clerical staff are friendly and personable, and Dr. Greenberg, his Dental Assistant Christine and Dental Hygienist Lisa are top notch! Very knowledgeable, educated and thorough. I’ve been living out of the area for over 5 years but make it a priority to drive two hours to continue being a regular patient here!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a dental checkup and cleaning cost in Westampton?

If you are looking to improve your oral health and want to know how much the average cost of a dental checkup and cleaning is in Westampton, there are a few factors that must first be considered. In the U.S., the general price range for this preventive service is between $200 and $350. However, your dentist will likely consider:

  • The geographic location of the dental office
  • The digital imaging required
  • The oral examination that checks for cavities, gum disease, oral cancer, bite misalignment, etc.
  • The professional cleaning that requires plaque and tartar removal
  • Time spent discussing your oral and overall health, as well as your smile goals

When preparing for these biannual appointments, it’s recommended that you use your dental insurance (if you have it), as most companies will cover the cost 100%.

What do you do if you can’t afford a dentist?

Feeling as if you cannot afford to see the dentist isn’t something you should be worried about, especially now that most practices offer alternative payment options if you’re not enrolled in a private dental insurance plan.

If you are, make sure to let a member of our team know so that we can begin looking for ways to help you save on your oral healthcare costs. Otherwise, you can inquire about how to apply for CareCredit Financing. If you are on a budget and you need a way to pay off your treatment over time, you can choose from one of their many unique plans, each varying in length and offering low or no interest.

What is the requirement to be a dentist in the U.S.?

Entering the dental profession requires that you complete several steps:

  • You must graduate with your bachelor's degree with an associated major and high scores in math and science.
  • You must enroll at one of the 67 accredited dental schools throughout the U.S. and complete three years of classroom instruction and hands-on learning to obtain a DDS or DMD.
  • You can choose to pursue general dentistry after graduation or one of the 12 specializations recognized by the American Dental Association (ADA). These fields can take 3 years or more to complete.
  • To continue practicing as a licensed dentist in the U.S., you must agree to complete several continuing education hours each year.

When calling our office to let us know what happened, we will work quickly to help you out of pain before restoring your smile.
