Another reason that a healthy mouth helps equal a healthy life.

Bleeding gums could mean that you have gum disease also known as Periodontitis. The problems that come along with gum disease can range from heart disease to increasing your risk for cancer. If you are pregnant it could have serious, even fatal results. MSNBC recently reported that scientists have linked stillborn babies with gum disease and the bacteria that comes along with it. People can pass gum disease along to each other through kissing so that could be a concern for the significant other of the expectant mother.

There are many ways to treat bleeding gums, tooth pain, and gum disease.

Going to the dentist for cleanings and checkups are a good start. Contact our caring and experienced dental office at Mount Holly Family Dentistry  today to schedule your check-up.
