A Touching “Thank You”
Billy is a 9 year old boy who needed 4 baby teeth removed for orthodontic purposes. He arrived at our Dentist Office in New Jersey for his appointment with the note from his orthodontist, a little nervous as you might expect.
He was a great patient. I told him how good he was doing and for encouragement as we progressed through the visit I told him that I usually kept half the teeth I took out so I could put them under my own pillow for the tooth fairy, but since he was so good, I’m giving him all the teeth.
This is such a great kid that I guess he felt sorry for me. I’m doing all this work and I’m not going to get anything from the tooth fairy. The next day he shows up at the office with a gift for me. He drew this great picture of himself with a very nice compliment for me. And, attached to the picture, he taped one of his teeth. No one has ever done that for me before. I was truly touched. This now occupies a proud spot on my wall. Thanks, Billy.
